During a recent visit to Tesla’s manufacturing facility Giga Berlin, Elon Musk hinted at the possibility of allowing customers to purchase Tesla vehicles using Dogecoin currency.
Elon Musk Is Considering Dogecoin Payment Option for Tesla Cars in the Future
The tech entrepreneur, known for his support of the meme-inspired digital currency, noted that the option to buy a car with Dogecoin could become available in the future, adding another layer to the cryptocurrency’s growing integration into mainstream commerce.
In a video uploaded by @dogeofficialceo, Musk responded to a question about the potential of Dogecoin payments for Tesla cars.

“When can you buy Tesla with Dogecoin? I think we should make this possible at some point,” Musk said, expressing that he was open to this idea. “You can buy Tesla products with Doge, which is great. So, Dogecoin is going to the moon.”
Tesla already allows customers to purchase products using Dogecoin, but Musk’s comments suggest crypto payment options could be expanded to include the company’s flagship electric vehicles.
Musk’s affinity for Dogecoin has been documented, with the billionaire entrepreneur frequently voicing his support for the cryptocurrency on social media and in public.
But Musk’s latest support comes amid signs of a possible shift in his attitude toward cryptocurrencies in general.
Last year, Musk hinted that his interest in cryptocurrencies had waned, claiming that he no longer showed significant interest in them.
He also recently stated that the social media platform formerly known as Twitter would “never” launch a crypto token, highlighting potential reservations about the broader crypto landscape.
