What is the name of the business?
There is a permissionless money market on the internet. It allows users to access a money market that is easy to navigate and where users can short these token.
Users can choose from three options: lending, borrowing and shorting. Any market that exists on Beta Finance will be able to get a loan from a lender. The opposite position can be taken by borrowers, while short-sellers are able to initiate short positions. Unlike centralized exchanges, Beta Finance does not use an order book to execute shorts but uses automated market makers to route the trade.

Allen Lee, an MIT graduate, previously worked as a software engineer at Microsoft and Facebook. It is backed by an illustrious group of investors. Anjan was impressed with the focus on novel assets, the isolated model, and the planned cross-chain support.

Beta Finance follows an isolated model to support more volatile assets, meaning that a position at risk of liquidating does not endanger another position. In Phase 2, the community can propose and vote for additional collateral support, with the initial support of ETH,USDC,USDT and DAI being valid.
There are different asset tiers. Stable coins have a loan-to-value ratio of 75%, while more volatile assets only have a 50% ratio. meme coins have a 20% LTV.
