The Eco Currency is intended to be a peer to peer currency.
Dollar-parity is not treated as a proxy for utility by Eco. Eco is a free-floating currency designed to achieve its aims through monetary policy that is transparent and managed by a group of trustees who are elected by the community of Eco holders. To maximize the wealth held in ECO is a core mandate of trustees.
The variable supply base currency and deflationary supply token are intended to incentivize long-term holders and bootstrap an open market signaling expectations for ECO adoption.
