What is Moonriver?
Moonriver is a smart-contract parachain. It is intended to be a companion network to Moonbeam, where it will provide a permanently incentivized canary network. New code will be sent to Moonriver first, where it can be tested and verified.

Existing Solidity smart contracts can be deployed to Moonriver with minimal changes.
What is it called?
Moonriver requires a utility token to function. The design of Moonriver cannot be removed without sacrificing essential functions.

The gas metering of smart contract execution is supported by this. The mechanics of the platform can be powered by collators and the creation of a decentralized infrastructure. Proposal of referenda, electing council members, voting, etc., are included in the on-chain governance mechanism. Network transaction fees are paid for.

There are Moonriver tools and integrations.
Metamask, Remix, web3.js, Ethers.js, Truffle, and other toolkits are some of the tools that are used in the ethereum project.
