What is the name of the body of water?
The goal of the protocol is to become a stable currency. Olympus is more akin to a central bank since it uses reserve assets to manage its price. The goal is to maintain a floating market-driven price. OHM is backed but not pegged to a certain price, which is the biggest difference between OHM and stable coins. OHM's price floor is 1 DAI, but the treasury value is added to the price. OHM is different from other stable coins because it issues OHM to buy assets and maintain a treasury.

Who are the founding fathers of Olympus?
The community of Olympus is governed through smart contracts, meaning it is run as a DAO.
Jeff Extor and Zeus have been the main code contributors. Zeus is said to be a teenager, captivating the community with his charismatic personality.

What makes Olympus unique?
One of the most interesting economic experiments in the DeFi space is Olympus. When OHM is traded above the price floor of 1 DAI, Olympus buys back and burns OHM, and when it is below the price floor, it mints and sells new OHM. OHM is issued through a process called bonding. Users can sell their assets to the treasury and get discounted OHM. They can provide discounted OHM to the SushiSwap pool if they choose to do so.
Users can stake OHM, which reduces the supply of OHM on the open market and creates value for the protocol. At the time of writing, the note north of 7,000% APY is the highest on Olympus, down from over 100,000% at the beginning of the protocol. Every eight hours, staking rewards auto-compound. The goal of the high rewards is to reward users for accumulating more OHM, rather than hoping for an appreciation of OHM in US dollars. The price of OHM could come down in dollar terms in the long run according to the protocol.
Although it didn't have a use case, it recently announced the launch of Olympus Pro.
With its strong marketing and meme game, Olympus is able to build and grow one of the most vibrant communities in the space. A simplified version of communicating that staking capital with the protocol is optimal for both parties has been introduced.

How many OHM coins are in circulation?
The total supply of OHM is uncapped since it is intended to be a free-floating currency. Over 1.7 billion OHM are staked with the network. The team vested pOHM prior to the launch of the main OHM token, which allowed non-US users to participate in a private sale. The team can mint OHM for every pOHM that gets burned.
330m pOHM and 7.8% supply.
70m pOHM and 3% supply are held by investors.
50m pOHM and 1% supply.
