The on-chain treasury and code changes are governed by the holders of the MIR token. There are no admin keys or special access privileges granted by TFL.
By reflecting the exchange prices on-chain, mirrored assets behave like mirror versions of real-world assets. They give traders the price exposure to real assets while enabling fractional ownership, open access and censorship resistance.
There are advantages to mirrored assets.
Most markets outside of Europe and North America have very limited access to foreign markets. Multiple fractional orders are bundled together to execute a unitary transaction in traditional finance. Waiting time is required for the process of gathering all the orders. It can take up to a day to execute nearly instantaneous orders due to the lack of liquidity.
