What is Swerve?
Curve was the source of the Swerve pool. Similar to Curve, it is focused on stable coin pools. It launched with just a single pool of Dai, TrueUSD, TUSD, andUSDC.
Swerve uses an ERC-20 token, SWRV, for governance in addition to rewarding liquidity providers.


Who are the people who started Swerve?
John Deere started Swerve as a passion project outside of his full-time job.
John Deere gave credit to the community for assisting in the design and implementation of the project.
In October 2020, Swerve governance voted to hire "FairlyRarePepe" as an additional developer.

Swerve is unique.
Swerve was launched as an alternative to Curve. Swerve's founder has been critical of Curve, saying that the platform is not fairly governed and that its founder has too much power.
Swerve uses a reward gaming mechanism called "Boost", in which providers that lock up SWRV can receive a higher APY than those that don't.
50% of the trading fee is awarded to liquidity providers and the other 50% is taken as an administrative fee and sent to the Swerve treasury, which is capped at $200,000.
In October 2020, founder John Deer stated his priorities for the project were to increase the platform's volume and better incentivize the holding of SWRV.
